Job Description:

The key to the Engineering Manager role lies in ensuring seamless alignment between technical feature development and customers' needs. A pivotal position within targeted markets, this manager is responsible for interpreting technical diagrams and specifications to provide expert engineering advice.

  • Technical collaboration: Interpreting technical diagrams and specifications
  • Process management: Documenting processes and project planning
  • Testing and feedback: Participating in testing and providing constructive feedback
  • Compliance assurance: Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Leadership in engineering standards
  • Business logic design
  • Assisting in designing technical logic

Project Delivery Expectations include delivering projects on time, within scope, and with high quality. The manager should develop project plans to track progress, perform risk management to minimize project risks, support project discovery and mapping, and facilitate communication with clients regarding project delivery.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, stakeholder management skills, and modelling skills related to the energy market. They should be able to produce detailed reports, proposals, and presentations and have familiarity with SQL, software development, and advanced Excel skills. Understanding of agile methodologies and experience in a startup environment are also desired.

Qualifications:

A tertiary qualification in a related field (Engineering, Commerce/Business, IT) is necessary, along with 5 years of experience within the sector in a related role.

Preferred Skills:

Advanced Excel skills and experience in a startup environment are highly valued.
