Senior Track Engineer Position

SMEC offers a unique opportunity for experienced engineers to lead track design projects in VIC and contribute to major rail projects nationally.

  • Experience producing track design work across major Rail projects in Victoria is required.
  • Applicants must have an engineering degree and at least 10 years of track/permanent way alignment design related experience.
  • Chartered status (CPEng) with existing competencies with the Victorian and national rail agencies is necessary.
  • Practical knowledge of civil design software such as 12d, Bentley OpenRail or Microstation is required.

This role involves planning, designing and executing projects that meet client expectations within agreed budgets and schedules. Supervising project staff and reviewing deliverables to ensure technical and quality assurance standards are also key responsibilities.

Key qualifications include working knowledge of commercial arrangements and relationships.
