Highway Planning Strategist
Seize an exciting opportunity to lead the civil design of highway and road planning studies, as well as major infrastructure projects across South Australia and nationally.
This role involves driving high-quality project outcomes through technical excellence, cost efficiency, and proactive leadership. You will be instrumental in defining how we grow our presence in South Australia, working alongside national leaders to guide the direction of our work and influence the region's transport future.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the civil design of highway and road planning studies and major infrastructure projects across South Australia and nationally.
- Contribute your voice and vision to how we shape our future footprint in South Australia.
- Drive high-quality project outcomes through technical excellence, cost efficiency, and proactive leadership.
- Maintain and strengthen key client relationships, ensuring alignment with project objectives and expectations.
- Lead and support bids and proposals, helping to secure new work by shaping winning strategies and design solutions.
- Deliver advanced civil designs using 12D and AutoCAD, integrating models into BIM environments for multidisciplinary coordination.
- Mentor and guide designers and drafters, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Ensure all designs comply with Austroads guidelines and relevant Australian Standards.
- Diploma or Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in roads and highways design on major infrastructure projects using 12D and AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Austroads standards and a strong understanding of Australian Standards.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong client interfaces.
- Experience leading bids and contributing to business development initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of BIM workflows and civil model integration.
- Collaborative, solutions-focused approach with excellent communication and leadership skills.
