The role of Senior Legal Counsel - Competition & Regulatory is critical and requires an experienced legal professional to navigate the complex competition and regulatory landscape.
About the Position- Expert legal advice will be provided on competition law, consumer law, and other regulatory requirements affecting operations.
- Legislative and regulatory developments will be monitored, interpreted, and advised upon, ensuring the business is informed and prepared.
- Regulatory engagement strategies will be advised upon, including dealings with relevant authorities.
- Senior stakeholders will be partnered with to support product development, marketing, and commercial initiatives with proactive legal input.
- Complex legal and regulatory concepts will be translated into clear, practical guidance for non-legal teams.
- External counsel will be managed and briefed on complex competition and regulatory matters, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
- A confident and commercially minded legal advisor with a strong background in competition and regulatory law is required.
- Significant post-admission experience, ideally from a top-tier law firm and/or senior in-house legal role, is expected.
- Proven expertise in competition law and broader regulatory compliance is essential.
- Experience advising in complex, highly regulated industries is necessary.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels, are required.
