Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Director to spearhead our regulatory compliance efforts in Australia. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated professional to lead and manage our compliance program, ensuring adherence to local laws and regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services compliance, with expertise in managing teams and driving business growth. They will be responsible for monitoring and managing compliance with AFSL obligations, providing strategic advice on regulatory matters, and developing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Compliance Management: Monitor and manage compliance with AFSL obligations, including the review and submission of reconciliations and regulatory reports.
  • Strategic Advice: Provide expert advice on day-to-day compliance-related matters, including new products and business structures.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a high-performing team, providing guidance and support to ensure effective compliance operations.
  • Compliance Policy Development: Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with stakeholders, including compliance officers globally, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience: In financial services compliance, with a strong understanding of AFSL obligations and associated reporting.
  • Leadership skills: Proven ability to lead and manage high-performing teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expert knowledge: Of applicable legislation, regulations, and industry standards, including ASIC and AUSTRAC requirements.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to analyze complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior stakeholders.
