Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Our organization is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to lead the migration of our VMware Cloud Director environment to Azure VMware Services. This role requires a strong understanding of cloud technologies and virtualization, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

  • Conduct a thorough analysis of the current VMware Cloud Director setup to identify risks and define a clear migration path.
  • Design and implement a robust migration strategy, considering system architecture, performance, and security factors.
  • Oversee the end-to-end migration to Azure VMware Services using Zerto for seamless replication and minimal downtime.
  • Monitor migration activities and report progress to ensure smooth execution with minimal business impact.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align technical plans with business objectives and expectations.
  • Provide post-migration support, including performance tuning and issue resolution.
  • Identify opportunities for optimization and cost-efficiency in the new cloud environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure migration, cloud platforms, and disaster recovery.
  • Strong understanding of cloud technologies, data security standards, and migration tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
