Job Opportunity:

The position of Senior Occupational Therapist plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional, specialized occupational therapy services to adult clients and their caregivers within an Acute Inpatient Service environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To collaborate closely with senior Occupational Therapists across various disciplines at St Vincent's Mental Health regarding the coordination of occupational therapy service delivery.
  • Demonstrate adaptability in resolving complex situations that may involve negotiation with multiple service providers.
  • Provide leadership to the ward group program and staff who implement this program.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Extensive experience in providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions for clients with severe mental illness and complex needs, as well as their caregivers.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, along with the ability to effectively consult, prioritize, and liaise with clients, caregivers, family members, community agencies, and other professionals.
