Teaching Science at a P-12 Christ-Centred School

Job Summary:

  • Lead student learning and development in Science across the spectrum of the curriculum.
  • Design engaging lessons for students with a wide range of learning abilities and styles.
  • Collaborate with the Science Teaching Team to develop the new Science curriculum for implementation in 2026.
  • Hold student attention and interest, employing various pedagogies and differentiating/scaffolding work as required.
  • Prepare students for national testing, competitions, and NSW Higher School Certificate examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Science subjects to students from Prep to Year 12.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to develop and implement the Science curriculum.
  • Design and deliver high-quality content to students that is engaging and accessible.
  • Assess student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback.

About You:

  • Hold qualifications in Education (Teaching) and be able to teach across the spectrum of the Science curriculum.
  • Be goal-oriented, highly organised, and passionate about the education of young people.
  • Have the ability to engage students who possess a range of interests and abilities.
  • Be able to work collaboratively across the whole school.
  • Be a person of Christian faith.
