About the RoleWe are seeking skilled Electricians to join our Rostered Maintenance Crews. As an Electrician, you will be responsible for:
- Scheduled maintenance of Locomotives and Rolling stock
- Diagnostics and repairs of Diesel electric Drive systems including EMD and GE
- Drive system component diagnostics and repairs
- Dynamic brake testing and commissioning
- Electrical Component installation, replacement and repairs
- Electrical and Mechanical breakdown diagnostics and repairs including replacements of Traction Motors, Alternators, Engine and Power assemblies, Air Compressors, and Blower motors.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Previous experience in Rail or Locomotive maintenance
- A valid Electrical Trade Certificate
- A High Voltage Switching Certificate
- A WA Electrical Licence
- A National Police Check within 3-6 months or willingness to obtain one
- First Aid, CPR and LVR certifications
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- A strong commitment towards safety and quality
- Motivated and hard working with a professional attitude
