Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engine repairs and maintenance, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, completing repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products, and attending to breakdowns in the field. They will also be required to diagnose and repair engines, inspect and replace components as needed, and perform engine rebuilding and reconditioning tasks.

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to possess mechanical trades qualifications as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Light Vehicle Mechanic or Plant Mechanic. Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products is highly desirable, as well as experience working in a field service environment.

A valid HR/Forklift License is an advantage, but not essential.

Our company offers competitive remuneration packages, including overtime pay at penalty rates, on-call allowance, bonus, superannuation, and vehicle usage.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday on a day shift roster.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to automotive, marine, off-highway, mining, and power generation customers
  • Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products and attend to breakdowns in the field
  • Diagnose and repair engines
  • Inspect and replace components as required
  • Engine rebuilding and reconditioning

Requirements

  • Mechanical trades qualified as Heavy Diesel Mechanic, Light Vehicle Mechanic or Plant Mechanic
  • Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products
  • Previous field service experience advantageous
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision
