About the Role

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team. As an experienced professional, you will apply your expertise to a wide range of projects across NSW.

Your day-to-day tasks will be diverse and offer valuable experience. You will have exposure to various activities, including design management, engineering assessment, project management, stakeholder management, and construction phase tasks.

This role will support our Community Development business based in Sydney or Wollongong. Working as part of the team, with guidance from senior engineers and support from specialist engineering designers and technical leads, you will ensure that all projects are completed in accordance with relevant standards, specifications, and drawings.

Your role is crucial in delivering high-quality outcomes to our clients, requiring a sound knowledge of civil engineering and construction processes.

Day-to-day tasks would involve:

  1. Performing design and project management tasks for the delivery of land development and infrastructure related projects from initiation through to construction.
  2. Preparing and updating civil engineering documentation including design reports, cost estimates, specifications, tender documentation, programs, and schedules.
  3. Applying civil engineering knowledge to various works which may include engineering drawings, calculations, reports, design criteria, to support engineering projects related to land development and infrastructure.
  4. Performing site supervision and quality control inspections of civil infrastructure and land development projects, including adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and Local/State Government standards.
  5. Assisting in the review of engineering drawings and submittals, responding to requests for information, preparing site observation reports, and performing other contract administration tasks.
Requirements

To be successful for this role, you'll need:

  1. A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  2. Minimum 4 years working experience in civil engineering, project management, and/or site supervision of land development and civil infrastructure projects.
  3. Engineers Australia Membership or eligibility.
  4. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the interpretation and application of relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines.
  5. Strong technical expertise and ability to produce accurate design documentation.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Proven experience in time management and organizational skills including the ability to manage resources and delegate tasks effectively.
  8. Ongoing commitment to professional development through self-study, training, and seminars, and maintaining your Continual Professional Development (CPD).
