This position presents a unique chance to deliver impactful research in a global top 50 university setting.

  • Participate in a collaborative team driving innovation in concussion care.
  • Lead the development of consumer-led models for brain injury care as a Research Fellow.

The opportunity lies within two major projects funded by the MRFF. One evaluates an interdisciplinary treatment approach for adults with persistent post-concussion symptoms, while the other co-designs a model of care with consumers to guide early concussion management in general practice. Both aim to deliver practical solutions improving outcomes for people with mild traumatic brain injury (TBI).

Responsibilities include conducting clinical interviews and focus groups with patients and clinicians, assessing the feasibility of care models, and supporting the analysis and interpretation of both qualitative and quantitative data. The role plays a key part in shaping how concussion care is delivered in primary care and rehabilitation settings across Australia while also contributing to peer-reviewed publications and knowledge translation activities.

We are seeking individuals with relevant qualifications in psychology or physiotherapy and experience in research coordination and implementation science. Key skills include strong data analysis capabilities, manuscript preparation, and stakeholder engagement.
