Job Opportunity: Senior Food Services Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Food Services Manager to join our team. This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality food services in a residential care setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the food services department, ensuring that meals are prepared and served to residents in a safe and hygienic environment. The key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service;
  • Coordinating menu planning, ordering, and stock management to ensure adequate supplies and minimize waste;
  • Ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements relevant to catering services within residential care;
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve food quality, safety, and presentation;

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification;
  • Diploma of Hospitality or related field;
  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (Health Care Competencies);
  • Significant experience in a similar role in the residential care or healthcare sectors;
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills;
