About the Position
  • Conducting site inspections and audits across parks, sports fields, and kindergartens to ensure service standards are met.
  • Managing and monitoring open space service contracts with precision and accountability.
  • Supporting playground safety through regular inspections and maintenance reporting.
  • Providing expert advice on horticultural, turf, and landscape maintenance.
  • Utilizing GIS and technology tools to streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in contractor management relating to Open Space Mowing and Horticulture in a local government setting is highly desirable.
  • A recognized qualification and solid experience in horticulture or landscape management.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive methodical approach to inspections and reporting.
  • Confidence in using GIS systems (e.g. ArcGIS) and Microsoft office suite.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge within a team.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems on the go.
  • A genuine enjoyment of being outdoors and driving between sites.
