The role of Financial Support Specialist involves providing high-level financial assistance in a team environment, focusing on optimizing revenue.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational knowledge of financial instructions and accounting procedures, with the ability to complete tasks efficiently and accurately within set deadlines.
  • A well-developed understanding of continuous quality improvement and its practical application in the work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients, staff, and organizations.
Detailed Duties
  • Ensuring accuracy of data and information, investigating discrepancies, and applying correct charges or codes prior to data entry.
  • Liaising with hospital personnel, interdepartmental staff, and clients regarding revenue and account enquiries, providing advice on finance operational processes.
  • Raising, receiving, reconciling, and processing accounts receivable for debtors in accordance with relevant policies and legislation.
Appointment Details
  • Fixed term full-time position working 76 hours per fortnight.
