About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Planner to join our team at Baby Bunting. As a key member of our planning team, you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of products, including Manchester & Bedding, Cots & Furniture, Maternity, Electronics & Sleep.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement merchandise planning strategies to achieve sales, margin, and inventory targets.
  • Work closely with buyers and planning analysts to ensure accurate forecasting and stock management.
  • Manage open-to-buy and work with buyers to grow the portfolio and achieve strategic plans and budgets.
  • Optimize stock levels and maximize sales and profit through thorough analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Lead and professionally develop a team of planning analysts to ensure best-in-class ranging for members and customers.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience in merchandise planning and inventory management.
  • Strong commercial and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced retail environment, with a strong understanding of buying and category management principles.
