About the Role

Job Summary:

Baby Bunting is seeking a highly skilled Merchandise Planner to join our team. As a key member of our planning department, you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of merchandise, working closely with buyers and planning analysts to ensure optimal stock levels and maximize sales and profit.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Planning:
  • Develop and implement merchandise plans in Foresight Retail, utilizing key metrics and collaborating with the buyer and broader team.
  • Replan monthly and present in forecast review, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Trade portfolio to achieve maximum profitability, considering factors such as product distribution and allocation.
  • Contribute to executing business strategy with the buyer, managing significant open-to-buy and forecasting stock requirements.
  • Work with planning assistants to quantify and flow right stock, ensuring optimal inventory levels.
  • Quantify new store purchases based on like stores, planogram, and store turnover, and new product lines with the buyer.
Analysis and Reporting:
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reporting to capture progress on key metrics, including PLEX, SOO, SIT, vendor performance, availability in DC, and network.
Leadership Responsibilities:
  • Manage, lead, and professionally develop the planning analyst, ensuring best-in-class ranging for members and customers.

About You:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic-minded individual with a strong background in merchandise planning and inventory optimization. You will have a solid understanding of commercial and analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
