Leisure and Lifestyle Care Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Leisure and Lifestyle Care Professional to join our team at McLean Care. As a key member of our care team, you will be responsible for planning and delivering a range of leisure and recreational activities for our residents, including games, crafts, exercise programs, and outings.
About YouMcLean Care is looking for experienced individuals who are caring and empathetic, and who are passionate about contributing to their communities. You will possess a Cert IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or a similar certification. You will provide personalized care to all residents, including those with dementia and challenging behaviors, with a focus on meeting their individual needs and preferences.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver leisure and recreational activities for residents, including games, crafts, exercise programs, and outings.
- Provide personalized care to residents, including those with dementia and challenging behaviors.
- Work collaboratively with the care team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with residents, their families, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of care plans and programs.
- Cert III Individual Support / Cert IV in Leisure & Lifestyle.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with elderly individuals, utilizing appropriate communication strategies to meet their unique needs and preferences.
- Understanding of WHS principles - including identification and mitigation of venue-specific risks.
- Current unencumbered Driver's License.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills and ability to use relevant software programs effectively.
- 2 Recent Managerial Referees.
