Exciting Community Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Community Leader to lead our Community Partnerships team. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a genuine commitment to community service, and experience in community or recreation program delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading a talented team of officers across arts & culture, seniors, volunteers, and partnerships
  • Developing and coordinating community development initiatives that align with the City's Strategic Community Plan
  • Supporting the delivery of the City's events program from concept to celebration
  • Building strong relationships with sporting clubs, community groups, and internal teams
  • Managing budgets, overseeing grant applications, and ensuring compliance
  • Representing the City in professional forums and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Supporting your team's development and wellbeing, while fostering a safe and inclusive workplace

Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience in community or recreation program delivery
  • Proven leadership experience and ability to build a motivated team
  • Tertiary qualifications in Community Development, Recreation, Social Science or similar
  • Current National Police Clearance
  • Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical
