Research Opportunity

We're seeking a skilled Research Assistant to join our team. As a key member, you'll be responsible for conducting face-to-face interviews with households across Australia.

  • You'll work closely with our experienced Field Managers to collect high-quality data and inform policy makers.
  • With your excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport quickly, you'll ensure successful interactions with participants.

You'll receive comprehensive training, a clear field manual, and ongoing support to help you excel in this role.

About You
  • Resilient relationship-builder: approach each interaction with a friendly and professional attitude.
  • Empathetic communicator: listen well, handle sensitive topics with care, and adapt your style to suit different situations.
  • Organised self-starter: manage your time, plan routes, keep tidy records, and meet targets without constant supervision.
  • Technologically comfortable: confident using a tablet and following on-screen scripts and protocols exactly as trained.

Nice-to-have: experience in field interviewing, door-to-door outreach or sales, call centre/customer service, community work, or education/youth services.

Essentials
  • Availability of 20+ hours per week (including one weekend day).
