Job Opportunity

As a Senior Underwriter in our Commercial Property team, your primary focus will be on executing innovative product solutions through customer-centric insights and implementing meticulous risk management strategies.

  • Key to success is using technical knowledge to add value across the organisation, with involvement in projects to make underwriting processes more efficient and introduce greater levels of clarity and simplification where possible.
  • Building strong relationships with Major Trading Partners, using/developing Portfolio Management knowledge to provide insightful change across scheme business, and fostering collective and aligned approaches that respond to needs.
  • Participating in forums to stay up-to-date with trends, changes, best practices, and being involved in ad-hoc projects to add value across the organisation.
Key Qualifications
  • Proven Property Underwriting experience at a Senior Underwriter Level.
  • Maturity to manage outcomes of complex risks and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to plan to handle peak periods smoothly and efficiently.
  • Keen interest in analytics and policy wording critiquing.
  • Effective collaboration and working within a national team located across multiple locations.
  • Desire to mentor and guide less experienced underwriters.
  • Interest in learning new skills for future development.
