Ventia is seeking a highly skilled Site Supervisor to lead our Telecommunications Team in Townsville. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for setting up and managing site activities, including early works, delivery, and completion systems and processes. You will also coordinate and direct a team of multi-disciplined trade-based personnel to support project-based construction activities.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct construction walk-outs, planning, scoping, and activities to ensure site works can be constructed efficiently in accordance with the construction plans and delivery schedule.
- Manage and conduct daily checks of worksites to ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
- Lead and oversee a team of subcontractors and direct labour in construction and technical activities on the construction site, including aspects of safety, compliance, quality, and reporting.
- Liaise with the client regarding construction variations and communicate all outcomes in line with business protocols.
- Liaise with site engineers to ensure materials and equipment are readily available ahead of construction activities, escalating any critical stock deficiencies to the area supervisor and complying with warehousing processes to safeguard the accurate and timely assignment and management of stock issues and returns.
- Tertiary qualifications in construction, engineering, quantity surveying, or similar.
- Current drivers' licence, construction white card, and supervisor ticket.
- Experience managing subcontractors in a construction site environment.
- Strong knowledge and client standards around civil construction.
- Ideal experience in civil, electrical, telecommunication, and rigging work, including familiarity with documentation, permits, and licensing required to perform these works.
- Ability to read and comprehend complex engineering design documents.
