Emergency Response Trainer

Ventia, a leading infrastructure services company operating across Australia and New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Trainer to join their Fire and Rescue operations based in Brisbane.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in firefighting and first aid, with the ability to design, develop, and deliver emergency response training programs. They will also be responsible for developing departmental-specific curriculum guidelines, supporting the development of assessment tools, and contributing to the development of training curriculum at a national level.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deliver emergency response training programs.
  • Develop departmental-specific curriculum guidelines consistent with national legislation and best practices.
  • Support the development of assessment tools to ensure appropriate systems, governance, and processes are in place.
  • Contribute to the development of training curriculum at a national level.
  • Oversee the Fire Development Program and facilitate successful succession planning.
  • Coordinate and deliver formal training across various locations in Australia.
  • Support Fire Crews with planning and facilitating team training activities.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with operational and emergency procedures documents.

Requirements:

  • Diploma of Public Safety (Emergency Management).
  • Certificate III in Public Safety (Firefighting and Emergency Operations).
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Diploma of Vocational Education & Training desirable).
  • Valid Drivers License.
  • Must be able to maintain a defence baseline security clearance as an Australian Citizen.
