Support the Spiritual Needs of Aged Care Residents

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of elderly individuals residing in aged care homes.

As a pastoral care volunteer, you will be part of a dedicated team working together to enhance the spiritual and emotional well-being of our clients.

Under the guidance of our experienced Pastoral Care Coordinators, you will have the chance to develop your skills and build meaningful relationships with residents.

  • Provide spiritual support and companionship to residents
  • Assist with daily activities and events
  • Help maintain a sense of community and social connection

Volunteering in this role requires a high level of interpersonal skills, empathy, and listening skills. You will also have the opportunity to participate in pastoral care training, such as chaplaincy or clinical pastoral education, to prepare you for this rewarding role.

The time commitment for this role is approximately 1-2 hours per week, which can be adjusted to suit your availability. You will be supported by our experienced coordinators and have access to regular training and development opportunities.

By volunteering in this role, you will not only be making a difference in the lives of our residents but also gaining valuable experience and skills that can benefit you in your personal and professional life.
