**Participant Profile**:
We are seeking mature minded, competent and experienced support workers to assist a lady in her 60's live a full and peaceful life.

The participant lives with extreme levels of chronic pain and requires varying levels of psychosocial support throughout the day and support to maintain her home to a high standard, prepare meals, odd jobs, run errands, advocacy, social, and emotional support. The participant has a very good eye for detail and sets a high standard that contributes to a warm and engaging environment.

The participant appreciates meaningful conversations, a good sense of humor and support staff with a calm and confident persona.

To be successful in this role it is highly important that the participants beliefs and spiritual practices are respected.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform household tasks for participants with disabilities including grocery shopping, cooking, cleaning, and transportation.
- Communicate with participants to develop strategies for tasks and schedules that meet their needs.
- Provide personal care assistance where required including help with personal hygiene, dressing, and attending work or school.
- Assist participants with maintaining care routines and provide physical aid for those with impaired mobility.
- Implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans when required.
- Mentor and be a positive example to participants you support
- maintain appropriate communication with the participant, management and other stakeholders

**Qualifications**:

- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or relevant qualification.
- Minimum 12 months of paid experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with challenging behaviors, mental health and neurodiverse support requirements highly desirable.
- Experience in SIL, private residential, and community-based support.
