Job Title:

A Project Manager for Field Delivery

This is an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for delivering infrastructure projects.

  • Manage the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Provide oversight and supervision to contractors at allocated sites, ensuring compliance with Work Instructions (WIs), Method of Procedures (MOPs) or plans provided by Operations and Services SOW's Project Managers.
  • Resource planning to enable efficient and effective delivery of infrastructure projects, including contingency planning and site inspection management.
  • Support during Mass Disruption Events as required, maintaining a good working and collaborative relationship with key client regional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and manage allocated field delivery team and contractors to deliver the works program(s).
  • Provide oversight and supervision to subcontractor works at allocated sites.
  • Resource planning to enable efficient and effective delivery of infrastructure projects.
  • Support during Mass Disruption Events as required.
  • Maintain a good working and collaborative relationship with key client regional stakeholders.
  • Ensure all contractors and staff comply with Work Instructions (WIs), Method of Procedures (MOPs) or plans provided by the Operations and Services SOW's Project Managers.
  • Deliver in accordance with requirements as defined by each SOW, including Site Inspection Planning, Contingency Planning, Operational management, Works Handover, Cost Approvals, Implement change management initiatives where required, Oversight of delivery team tasks, Pre-Allocation/reallocation of workload using Ventia Work management systems, Monthly QoS/CCC/HSE Targets, Site supervision, Quality Control, Site oversight for Project work, CRP Critical works, Site Inspection to assist with Project scoping, Area Manager site audits, Review and approval of Timesheets, Validate and action all cost and extension of time related requests, Action all Telstra observations.

You will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team of professionals to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Providing guidance and direction to contractors on site.
  • Ensuring that all projects are completed within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Developing and implementing resource plans to support the delivery of infrastructure projects.
  • Maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Must have experience managing teams and leading complex projects.
  • Experience working in an O&M environment would be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of electrical and/or trades qualification or significant field-based experience in telecommunication power would be advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
