Production Operator

We are seeking a skilled Production Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating a Paper Machine and its ancillary equipment to meet agreed production, service, and quality standards.

As a key member of our operations team, you will ensure the efficient and safe operation of our plant, working closely with colleagues to maintain high levels of productivity and quality.

  • Be fully conversant on all aspects of machine operation, including winding and finishing, quality processes, and systems.
  • Ensure equipment is correctly maintained and regular maintenance is performed.
  • Maintain safe work and operating practices, as well as high levels of housekeeping at all times.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Prior experience operating machinery within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work well as a team and independently.
  • Good written and communication skills, with a focus on health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • A mechanical aptitude, with a trade or technical qualification highly regarded.
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating roster.
  • Experience operating a forklift and current forklift license desirable.
  • Problem-solving skills, with good attention to detail and eye for accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
