Position Overview

We are seeking a Legal Secretary/Assistant with a minimum of one year of experience to join a vibrant and successful personal injury law firm.

Your Role

In this engaging position, you will serve as the essential support to the managing partner, assisting with various administrative tasks and personal injury law matters, including workers' compensation and motor accident claims. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and directing incoming telephone calls;
  • Welcoming clients in a professional and courteous manner;
  • Coordinating meetings and managing calendars;
  • Communicating with clients, solicitors, barristers, and medical professionals;
  • Drafting correspondence, legal forms, and court documents;
  • Preparing briefs for barristers;
  • Maintaining filing systems and performing general administrative duties.

Who You Are

We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • A minimum of 12 months of legal administration or secretarial experience in a law firm;
  • Experience in personal injury law, particularly in areas such as workers' compensation or motor accidents;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong communication skills;
  • Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to meet deadlines;
  • A passion for working in a fast-paced and positive environment;
