The role of Contracts Trader offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic trading team and contribute to the company's success in the energy transition.

As a key member of the Trading & Portfolio Management team, you will be responsible for managing exposures through derivative and physical products in the wholesale contracts market.

In this role, you will work closely with Analytics, IT and Risk to develop and improve trading/risk models, and assist in developing long-term contracting opportunities such as PPAs and renewables agreements.

To succeed in this position, you will need strong analytical skills, including Excel modelling skills, and the ability to assess, design, develop and price innovative risk management products and decision support tools.

The ideal candidate will have prior extensive experience in wholesale energy markets, particularly in environmental and electricity products in Australia, and a degree qualification in engineering, business/commerce, finance, mathematics or quantitative discipline.

You will be part of a high-performing, collaborative and experienced team, with long term development and progression opportunities.
