Cross River Rail will transform the way we travel to, from and through Brisbane in the future. It is a catalyst for wider rail transformation underway across the South East Queensland and it is already playing a key role in how we prepare for the future.

As Governance Advisor, you'll play a key role in supporting senior decision-making on one of Queensland's most significant infrastructure projects. You will provide high-level governance and secretariat support to senior program and project-level forums, including committees, project control boards and executive meetings.

  • Provide governance and secretariat support to senior program and project-level forums
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality meeting packs including agendas, briefing notes, papers, minutes, actions, memoranda, submissions and presentations.
  • Coordinate governance reporting requirements across Program Delivery, collating and distributing timely reports, briefings, presentations and information papers with accuracy and integrity.
  • Maintain governance registers, including minutes, actions and decisions, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Support the development, review and improvement of governance frameworks, and contribute to the establishment of new governance bodies.
  • Monitor compliance with governance processes, escalating risks or issues where required.

The Cross River Rail project involves multiple supporting projects and activities, including accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, upgrades for stabling yards, track works and surface rail enhancements.

About You
  • Demonstrated experience providing secretariat support to senior governance forums.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance processes, frameworks, reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare documentation tailored to different audiences.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and SharePoint with experience editing and formatting to meet governance submission standards.
  • Experience with Document Management sharing tools is highly regarded.
