Leadership Position for Engineering Expert

The role of National Engineering Manager is a pivotal position within our organisation, overseeing technical expertise across operations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading safety initiatives and commitment to robust safety policies.
  • Developing and owning engineering stewardship frameworks ensuring compliance with legislative and material risk obligations.
  • Providing technical expertise and support to the business in managing material risk and equipment/process performance improvement.
  • Analysing project deliverables and reviewing/recommending technical and functional requirements to enhance business effectiveness.
  • Demonstrating and sharing relevant knowledge of current technical challenges and impacts on regional operations through regular communication with key stakeholders.
  • Leading periodic technical audits and schedules in consultation with operations for continued improvements.
  • Developing a network of engineering expertise both within and external to the business to identify value-adding technology/processes and facilitate introduction.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high level of knowledge of Construction & Mining Legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience with mobile mining & construction equipment design, assembly, and application.
  • Strong understanding of International and industry standards for design and maintenance.
  • Proven ability to influence and positively lead at all levels of the business and across cultural boundaries.
  • Recognition as a subject matter expert in mobile equipment engineering, providing support in a personable and professional manner.
  • Leadership and technical experience with multi-disciplined projects and/or operational environments.
