Job Title: Drilling Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Drilling Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for performing drilling operations in various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret plans and engineering drawings to determine work specifications
  • Establish drilling compounds and set out jobs via measurements and installation/erection of pipes, catch fences and drapes
  • Operate Excavator Ripamonte 180 Drill Rig and fittings
  • Hand drill - hollow bar with air and solid bar with air & water
  • Install rock bolts and soil nails
  • Use grout equipment and grout mixing techniques
  • Report progress through drilling logs, drilling ITPs and record compliance results; record safety and environmental incidents; prepare weekly job cost reports; record and report variations; and report drilling and shotcrete production rates
  • Provide regular feedback about output and productivity of workers

Requirements:

  • Certificate and at least 2 years of relevant experience in the industry
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Basic knowledge of materials, terms, and practices in the construction field
  • Ability to deal with constant interruptions and changing deadlines/priorities
  • Ability to perform independently, or in a team environment, and take direction from the supervisor

Benefits:

  • Annual salary between $75,000.00 and $85,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience
  • Full-time, permanent position with a standard 8 hour shift
  • Relocation assistance for Brookvale, NSW 2100
