Our Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Mining Operations Supervisor to play a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence and safety at our mining site. As a key member of our team, you will oversee field operations, manage contractors, and drive efficiency in our road train fleet.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a Load and Haul production team, providing coaching, mentoring, and development of personnel to ensure safe and effective operations.
- Lead and support field operations to meet production targets and maintain compliance with schedules, while demonstrating positive leadership and Fortescue values.
- Manage contractors and support personnel to ensure adherence to safety and operational standards, fostering a culture of respect, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Implement stockpile management processes and coordinate ore delivery to road train fleet, driving operational efficiency, cost control, and environmental compliance.
- Communicate with stakeholders to execute daily mine plans safely and efficiently, supporting and mentoring new-to-industry personnel through a 12-month program.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supervising mining operations, preferably in ROM and road train environments.
- Sound understanding of safety protocols and incident management systems.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage teams effectively.
- Commitment to Fortescue's values and culture of safety and sustainability.
- Knowledge of WA Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Regulation.
