The Opportunity

As a Workplace Injury Coordinator you will assist in the injury management associated with work-related and non-work-related cases within PACCAR Australia.

Working closely with several internal and external stakeholders, the Workplace Injury Coordinator will assist in claim management in accordance with relevant state legislation, provide advice and recommendations to key stakeholders, including management and employees, on the injury management and claim process, regarding liability, employer responsibilities and obligations under relevant state legislation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide proactive case management for injured employees with a focus on early intervention
  • Actively collaborate with insurance providers to ensure the effective and timely management of all workers compensation claims
  • Actively assist in early intervention programs including on-site physiotherapy and on-site medical centre, including the provision of similar at satellite locations
  • Analysing and reporting incident and injury trends to develop and implement risk management programs

About You

  • Knowledge with the management of WorkCover claims to accelerate employee return to work and reduce WorkCover costs
  • Detailed knowledge of Victorian OHS and WorkCover legislation/regulations
  • Ideally Certificate IV in Personal Injury Management (Return to Work), or similar qualification, desirable
  • Current accreditation or willingness to obtain RTW Coordinator Training Course, developed and endorsed by WorkSafe
  • A collaborative working style, ability to work as part of a team and demonstrate a proactive approach to engaging internal and external stakeholders
  • Displays flexibility and responsiveness and has the initiative, attitude and ability to thrive within a dynamic, challenging and changing environment
  • Previous experience balancing a hands-on, roll your sleeves up approach with a strategic mindset and bigger picture mindset
