Early Childhood Educator Role

Hume City Council is seeking a qualified Early Childhood Educator to join our team of dedicated professionals. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the growth, learning, and development of children in our play-based indoor/outdoor programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement innovative children's educational programs in collaboration with staff, families, and children.
  • Plan, implement, and evaluate programs for children, creating inclusive, secure, and interactive learning environments.
  • Work collaboratively with the Early Years team to achieve a common goal.
  • Develop relationships and partnership approaches with families to promote shared learning and collaboration.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications suitable for a teacher under the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010 and the Department of Education and Training Victorian Kindergarten Funding Guide.
  • Hold a current Police Check and Employee Working with Children's Check.
  • Sound knowledge of the Child Safe Standards, Mandatory Reporting, and Reportable Conduct.
  • Current VIT registration (ECT only).
  • Hold suitable First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma training.
