Medical Quality Assurance Specialist

This role is to ensure the accuracy and quality of reports produced by consultants in a timely manner, as well as providing technical advice relating to reports and permanent impairment/disability assessments.

To coordinate and deliver high-quality business administration support for the provision of independent medical assessment and advice to team members, consultants, customers, clients, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review of medico-legal reports in line with quality framework and relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Undertake quality assurance of reports, ensuring they are compliant with specific customer and/or legislative specifications, standards and processes, and appropriate guidelines.
  • Identify inaccurate, deficient, or incomplete reports and liaise with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues.
  • Assist with consultant, customer, or team member training sessions as needed.
  • Support the induction of new staff.
  • Escalate matters requiring intervention to appropriate personnel.
  • Prioritize workflow based on availability, requests, and urgency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in the medical, allied health, and/or personal injury industry.
  • Experience in driving quality assurance programs.
  • Understanding of case management practices related to independent medical reports is beneficial.
  • Experience in coordinating customer-focused administrative support.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
