We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to deliver accurate and efficient end-to-end payroll services for approximately 150 employees on a weekly basis.
Main Responsibilities:- Process weekly payroll for approximately 150 employees across multiple awards and agreements.
- Evaluate and apply relevant awards and enterprise agreements with precision.
- Maintain close collaboration with the wider finance team and internal stakeholders to support seamless payroll operations.
- Act as the key point of escalation for complex payroll issues.
- Administer ad hoc payments and ensure timely statutory reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.
- Proven experience in high-volume payroll environments, preferably with exposure to shift work, overtime, and multiple industrial instruments.
- In-depth understanding of award interpretation. Relevant construction-related awards would be advantageous.
- Proficiency in using various payroll systems; SAP experience is beneficial.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to resolving payroll queries.
- Able to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Promptly resolve challenging conversations while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Comfortable working independently or as part of a collaborative team.
