Job Opportunities
A challenging and dynamic role awaits you in a market-leading team, working on significant transactions across various industries.

Key Responsibilities
You will be involved in tax due diligence processes, identifying exposures and assessing risks. You will also advise on duty consequences of mergers, acquisitions, restructures, and divestments. Additionally, you will assist in preparing submissions for lodgements, applications, rulings, and objections with revenue authorities, as well as conduct tax research and provide advice on tax planning opportunities.

Day-to-Day Tasks
  • Tax due diligence – Assist in buy-side and sell-side due diligence processes, focusing on risk assessment and clear communication.
  • Structuring – Advising on duty consequences of mergers, acquisitions, restructures, and divestments.
  • Post-deal implementation – Identifying duty obligations and assisting in preparing submissions for lodgements, applications, rulings, and objections with revenue authorities.
  • Advisory – Conducting tax research, providing advice on tax planning opportunities, and assisting clients in managing tax risks in their businesses.
  • Updates – Staying up-to-date with developments in state taxes and other regulatory and tax updates.

As part of this role, you will build ongoing relationships with clients from various industries, including infrastructure, property, energy, natural resources, financial services, and funds, providing highly valued advice and assistance with duty and land tax compliance, planning, and disputes resolution.

  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Law together with Accounting, Commerce, Economics, or equivalent. Recent M&A/transactional experience is advantageous.

  • Strong personal initiative and willingness to take responsibility for your own work.
