Job Description

Transforming military capabilities with advanced technology is at the heart of a mission to leverage unsupervised autonomy for long endurance, multi-mission capability delivery.

The company brings Silicon Valley talent and funding to the defence sector, developing unmanned maritime and air domain systems that leverage advanced algorithms for safe navigation and effective operation of autonomous vehicles.

Key responsibilities include contributing to the design and implementation of development processes for initial delivery and subsequent iteration of robotic software, including full lifecycle testing.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proficiency in C++ and/or Python software development is required. Familiarity with autonomous vehicle hardware and sensors such as sonar, LIDAR, and cameras is also necessary.

Additionally, the Senior Robotics Engineer should have experience in a senior perception or planning role for the delivery of a robotic system, capacity to act as the technical owner for a software service, and ability to collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement robust validation and verification strategies.

  • Familiarity with System Engineering concepts is preferred.
  • Experience with simulation tools and frameworks for algorithm validation and testing is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and certification processes for autonomous systems is preferred.
Ideal Candidate Profile

Deep experience delivering robotic systems is essential. The ideal candidate will have expertise with robotic systems to rapidly architect, design, deliver, support, and evolve next generation autonomous vehicles through the entire product life-cycle.

They should have a Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred qualifications include experience with autonomous systems in the air, maritime, or space domains, and desire to learn and grow into other roles requiring experience as a Senior Robotics Engineer.
