About the role
As a transport hub, Sydney Airport's technology services play a crucial part in ensuring seamless travel experiences for millions of passengers.
The IT Service Continuity Manager leads the development and ongoing maturity of our IT Service Continuity framework, aligning IT strategies with broader business continuity objectives.
This 12-month contract offers a unique opportunity to drive change and make a direct impact on the reliability of Sydney Airport's technology backbone.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Sydney Airport's IT Service Continuity framework and plans.
- Conducting Business Impact Analyses to identify critical IT services, dependencies, and potential risks.
- Designing effective recovery strategies and developing, maintaining, and testing IT Disaster Recovery plans.
- Coordinating and delivering regular disaster recovery testing, establishing a structured test calendar to ensure ongoing readiness and compliance.
You will partner with internal teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors to embed continuity strategies into operational processes and project delivery.
We're looking for a professional with tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven expertise in developing and implementing IT Service Continuity frameworks and Disaster Recovery plans is essential, along with knowledge of ITIL and ISO 22301 best practices.
You should have a strong background in IT service management and operational technology, with a track record of delivering business outcomes through effective monitoring, reporting, and performance management.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement skills are required, as well as adaptability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage complex change initiatives.
