Procurement Officer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Professional to join our team. As a Procurement Officer, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining and reviewing procurement systems and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the central point of contact on procurement matters, providing operational advice to managers and staff;
  • Perform reviews, reconciliations, analysis and monitoring tasks to ensure the quality and compliance to procurement systems, policies and procedures;
  • Assist with the administration and coordination of tender and similar offer processes;
  • Implement and contribute to the ongoing development of the procurement framework, including purchasing procedures in line with Queensland State Purchasing Policy and similar legislative and industry guidelines and requirements;
  • Develop and deliver procurement training and education sessions to staff through various mediums and audiences.

Requirements:

  • Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to an associate diploma with relevant work experience or a relevant degree;
  • Experience in the development, implementation and review of procurement and financial operation systems, policies and procedures;
  • Demonstrated high-level experience using accounting software and evidence of advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
