Youth Mental Health Therapist

The Adolescent and Young Adult counselling position is a permanent part-time role, requiring a commitment of 32 hours per week. This role forms part of a dynamic team within a paediatric service.
This counsellor will provide emotional and mental health support to young people between the ages of 12 and 24 years old, along with their families. The clinician will work closely with the young person and their family from initial referral, conducting assessments and providing interventions to aid in achieving their goals.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications such as Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, or similar fields
- Experience in therapeutic practice with adolescents and their families
- Strong assessment skills including risk assessment
- Ability to establish effective relationships with young people
