Capital Asset Valuation Specialist

A Capital Asset Valuation Specialist will be responsible for managing large and complex capital asset valuation engagements across Australia and internationally.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing physical site inspections of plant and equipment as required;
  • Reviewing and building models for tangible asset valuation and asset due diligence;
  • Analysing market information on companies, industries, and transactions to identify key performance metrics and value drivers;
  • Preparing and reviewing valuation reports outlining the analysis, key assumptions, and valuation findings;
  • Delivering valuations for tax, stamp duty purposes, accounting and reporting, and insurance purposes across the deal lifecycle and on a non-deal basis;

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Construction, Valuation or a related field, and preferably be a Member of the Australian Property Institute, American Society of Appraisers, or Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, with progressing towards Certified Practicing Valuer (CPV) accreditation. Prior experience in performing plant & equipment / machinery / tangible asset valuations is highly desirable.

Strong Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint skills are required, with experience with data analytics software such as PowerBi preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills are also essential, as well as effective project management and organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a team-oriented environment.
