Are you passionate about advancing our understanding of neonatal brain development? We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Neonatal Brain Development Researcher.

The role involves undertaking innovative research into assessing early brain development and detection of brain injuries in neonates at risk using MR imaging. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team within the Australian E-Health Research Centre (AEHRC), part of CESIRO's Health and Biosecurity Unit, and Queensland Hospital and Health services.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting cutting-edge research in neonatal brain development and brain injury detection.
  • Developing and implementing new methods for image analysis and machine learning techniques.
  • Collaborating with clinicians and external scientists on multiple projects.
  • Contributing to the development of research grants and funding applications.

Requirements:

  • A doctorate in a relevant discipline area, such as Medical Imaging or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Experience in programming with Python, C++ and/or Matlab.
  • Experience in applying machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques.
