As a Principal Data Scientist at Ray White Group, you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering AI solutions that drive business value. Your expertise in advanced data science techniques and technologies will be instrumental in helping us stay ahead of the competition.

This is a hybrid role that can be done from Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane, offering a great balance between work and personal life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead advanced data science initiatives: Utilize your knowledge of cutting-edge AI/ML solutions to address strategic challenges and opportunities.
  • Drive innovation and growth: Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and addressing key data science challenges.
  • Shape our data science strategy: Define and execute the data science roadmap, aligning with the company's medium-term business goals.
  • Mentor and guide a team of data scientists: Delegate responsibilities, monitor progress, and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders: Serve as a subject matter expert, influencing decision-making through clear and compelling communication.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative environment: Encourage knowledge sharing and best practices within the data science team.

To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A PhD or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 10+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of leading and delivering impactful data-driven solutions.
  • Deep expertise in advanced modeling techniques, LLMs, AI/ML algorithms, and emerging data science technologies.
  • Strong technical leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of data scientists.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services.
  • A passion for innovation and a commitment to driving business value through data science.
