The Role

As a Food Services Assistant, you will contribute to the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of our Food Safety Program (FSP). You will be responsible for preparing, serving, and presenting quality food and beverages that meet the individual needs and preferences of our residents. Your key duties will include:

  • Contributing to menu planning to ensure resident satisfaction.
  • Preparation, serving, presentation, and delivery of food and refreshments in accordance with FSP guidelines.
  • General cleaning to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Assisting with monitoring and recording requirements of FSP, including temperature checks and goods receipting.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of meals and refreshments to all residents.
  • Reporting any concerns or difficulties experienced by residents regarding food and beverages to the Registered Nurse In Charge.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A current Food Handling Certificate.
  • A National Police Certificate (or ability to acquire).
  • Experience working in residential aged care food services.
