We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Body Craftsman to join our team, responsible for crafting and repairing vehicle bodies to the highest standards.

This is a full-time position offering a competitive annual salary between $73,150-80,000 plus superannuation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Fabricate, assemble, and repair vehicle bodies, including trucks, trailers, and specialty vehicles.
- Construct and modify vehicle frames, panels, and chassis using metal, fiberglass, or composite materials.
- Perform welding, cutting, and shaping to precise specifications.
- Install fittings, fixtures, and accessories to meet client requirements.
- Prepare new vehicle trim work according to drawings and sketches, and remove old coverings and fittings from vehicles and take new measurements
- Select and cut pieces of fabric, vinyl and leather and sew pieces together using heavy-duty sewing machines
- Ensure compliance with Australian safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver projects on time.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

- Relevant trade qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Automotive Body Building or equivalent) plus 2 years of on-the-job training or Certificate 4
- Must have at least one year experience in vehicle body construction, repair, or modification.
- Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, or arc welding).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
- Valid Australian work rights.

Desirable Skills:

- Experience with heavy vehicles or custom builds.
- Knowledge of Australian Design Rules (ADR) and compliance standards.
- Forklift or heavy vehicle license (advantageous).
