Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Disability Support Worker. This role plays a vital part in empowering and supporting individuals living with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and achieve their personal goals.

This is a casual position offering flexible working hours that cater to your lifestyle. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and assistance to our clients, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive in their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assisting clients with personal care
  • Helping clients with household tasks, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
  • Accompanying and supporting clients during community outings and social activities
  • Advocating for clients' needs and ensuring their rights are upheld
  • Documenting client progress and maintaining accurate records
  • Participating in team meetings and training sessions to continuously improve your skills
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to client care
  • Relevant experience in the aged care or disability support industry
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
