About the Opportunity

Everyday Independence is a leading provider of Allied Health services, dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to live independently. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Life Skills Coach to join our team in the Barwon region.

As a Life Skills Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting NDIS participants in developing essential life skills, enabling them to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. You will work closely with participants, therapists, and other support staff to provide person-centered care and promote independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapy plans developed by primary therapists to support participants in achieving their goals
  • Assist participants in accessing public transport, completing daily routines, and engaging in social activities
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to participants to promote healthy habits and independence
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and effective service delivery

Requirements:

  • Current studies in Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, or Physiotherapy (minimum 2nd year) or relevant experience in Allied Health Assistance
  • Demonstrated passion for working with individuals with disabilities and commitment to delivering high-quality care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with participants, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and adaptability skills
  • Valid Australian driver's license and access to reliable transportation
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check and Working with Childrens Check
