Software Developer Role

This position involves working with a project team to improve existing code, deliver enhancements and make software applications better.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to develop and enhance C# based, n-tier enterprise software according to industry standards.
  • Develop automated application build and deployment scripts using .NET environment (.NET Core), Microsoft technology stack, and Azure DevOps tools.
  • Liaise with technical staff to facilitate rapid resolution of issues within fielded production.
  • Provide analysis on complex issues, contribute to management preparation, coordination of policy formulation, and project management.
  • Develop and support key internal and external relationships, manage stakeholders to achieve work area goals, represent the agency by promoting its interests.
  • Make decisions using good judgement, expertise, and knowledge governed by legislation, regulations, best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a software developer with proficiency programming in C#.
  • Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth, JWT) and API security best practices.
  • Familiarity with databases, data structures, and integration patterns.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills for collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure services and tools, such as App Services, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and Azure Service Bus.
  • Understanding of GraphSQL, SOAP, microservices or other API technologies.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles and experience with API frameworks and tools.
  • Experience with API testing tools and methodologies.
